A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in a village in the Hafizganj area of Bareilly on Sunday. The accused works in a brick factory and is missing after the incident, police said.
In her complaint, the victim's mother said the child was playing outside her house when the accused took her along and promised to buy her chocolates.
A case has been registered under Section 376ab IPC and Pocso Act. The accused has been arrested and will be sent to jail, ASP Rajkumar Agarwal said.
She was taken for medical examination and her condition is stable, he added.
